1. Overview of the Two-component polyurethane membrane
 This High Strength Polyurethane Waterproof  Coating is developed specially for waterproofing use in railway bridge,  concrete bridge deck either ballasted or ballast less. This coating is a high polymer  waterproofing material of high strength, high elasticity and high adhesion  strength properties. The material has two subclasses, with the 3.5Mpa type as a  coiled material adhesive and the 6.0Mpa type as a waterproof layer directly and  independently.


2. Specification of the Two-component polyurethane membrane

  • 6.0Mpa  type: 40kg/set, mixing ratio 1:1

  • 3.0Mpa  type: 60kg/set, mixing ratio 1:1


3. What about the product

  • Tensile strength is high, from 3.5Mpa  to 6.0Mpa.

  • Adaptability to temperature change is great;  resistance to alkali and acid is excellent.

  • Adhesive ability is super, 2.5Mpa on  dry concrete and 0.6Mpa on moisture substrate. Construction is suitable in  moisture circumstances.

  • A thick coating gives a dense,  pinhole-free and bubble-free layer.

  • Resistance to long-term water erosion,  corrosion, mould is excellent.

  • Wear resistance, shock resistance,  fatigue resistance are great. Elongation and adaptability to crack is  excellent.

  • The material use high boiling point  solvent and is eco-friendly.


4. Where to use

  • Waterproof  project in railway (passenger line) bridge, concrete bridge deck with or  without ballast.

  • Waterproof  project in highway concrete bridge, bridge deck and water conservancy dams.


5. How to use

  • Application  surface need to be solid, flat, free of water, oil and dust. Suitable environment  temperature is 0℃~40℃.

  • Mix  component A and component B, stir thoroughly the mixture (the mixture shall be  used up within 30min, avoiding solidifying before application), use a soft  scraper to coat it onto application surface. It is recommended to do it in 2 to    3 separate passes. Mechanical spraying  does a better job here, by spraying 1~2 separate passes (extra solvent may be  needed if apply by means of spraying). Do the next pass only after the previous  pass is fully dry and normally a 24 hour interval is needed.

  • A  moderate amount of sand can be placed on top of the last pass of coating before  surface dry, to strengthen its bonding ability with the following protective  layer.

  • Before  the coating is hard dry, prohibit walking or piling sundries on the top to  avoid any damage.

  • Recommend  amount: 1.5mm thickness consumes 1.9kg/㎡ to 2.1 kg/㎡; 2.0mm  thickness consumes 2.6kg/㎡ to 2.8 kg/㎡.

7. Attention

  • Use up the material within 30min once component A and component B is  mixed, unmixed material must be protected from contamination.

  • Application environment temperature shall be above 5, keep the site ventilated.

  • Before the applied coating gets hard dry, protect it from being  damaged.

  • After a long storage, a thin skin may form on top of material, get  rid of it before application. This dose not affects material property.


8. How to store

  • In  transportation and storage, products of different types and different  specifications shall be sorted and stored separately. Products must be away  from insolation, rain and fire. Avoid product collision; keep good ventilation  of the place and storage temp below 40℃.

  • Under  proper storage and transportation, product shelf life is 12 months.
